Platinum Art Deco Diamond Bracelet

Platinum Art Deco Diamond Bracelet

This stunning bracelet is set with a total of approximately 6.33 carats of diamonds with VS clarity and G-H color. Each diamond resides in a wonderful picture frame style setting with milgrained edging. This is the traditional bead and bright cut technique that is used for classic styles and pave' designs.

The setter cuts and raises tiny curls of metal from the platinum with an engraving tool, then forms the curls into the beads that secure the diamond. He shaves a refective bevel from corner to corner that frames the diamond and brings more light into each stone. Notice how straight and perfect these hand cut bevels are. Except for the tiny beads at each corner, the entire diamond can be seen, and the back is completely open so it can be kept clean for maximum sparkle.

Besides the beautiful diamond settings, the bracelet exhibits the jewelers' fine craftsmanship with other nice touches. The individual diamonds are set in units of three that are joined to make a semi-rigid but flexible style. This means the piece can be worn comfortably - it won't turn and move around the wrist like a tennis bracelet does. This design is also less likely to wear out, like many of the tennis bracelets we see.

The sturdy box clasp is tight and positive locking, and the safety chain adds another level of safety.

The decorative hand engraving flows beautifully along the sides and complements the diamonds perfectly. Platinum is the preferred metal of the pave setter and hand engraver - platinum cuts beautifully, secures the diamonds tightly, and has an elegant color that complements the diamonds and stays bright.
